  RF IC Article 6. Family Law and International Law

 

(1) If an international agreement of the Russian Federation contains rules other than those provided for in family law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

 

2. It is not allowed to apply the rules of international treaties in their interpretation that violate the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as the principles of law and order and morality. Such a contradiction can be ascertained in the manner prescribed by the Federal Constitutional Law.

RF IC Article 7. Exercise of family rights and family duties

 

(1) Citizens have at their own discretion the rights inherent in family relationships (family rights), including the right to the protection of these rights, unless otherwise stipulated in this Code.

 

The exercise of their rights by family members and the performance of their duties must not violate the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of other family members and other citizens.

 

(2) Family rights are protected by law, except in cases where they are exercised in contradiction to the purpose of these rights.

Civil Code of the Russian Federation Article 123.16. Community of Indigenous Peoples of the Russian Federation

 

(1) Communities of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation are recognized as voluntary associations of citizens of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation and are united on a blood-related and (or) territorial-neighborly basis in order to protect the original habitat, traditional lifestyles, management, handicrafts and culture preserve and develop.

 

(2) Members of the community of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation have the right to receive part of their property or compensation for the value of such part if they withdraw from the community or carry out their liquidation in the manner prescribed by law.

 

3. A community of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation can be transformed into an association (union) or an autonomous non-profit organization by decision of its members.

 

(4) The provisions of this Code on non-profit organizations apply to communities of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation, unless otherwise provided by law.

  RF IC Article 61. Equality of rights and duties of parents

 

 

 

  (1) Parents have the same rights and obligations towards their children (parental rights).

 

 

 

 

(2) The parental rights provided for in this chapter are terminated when children reach the age of majority, as well as when minors are married and in other cases stipulated by law in which children become fully legally competent up to the age of majority.
